There's Only One Keano

November 18th 2005; a day when an era truly ends at Manchester United. My Captain, Roy Keane leaves United for pastures anew. Everyone knew it was coming, but nobody expected him to leave so suddenly in the middle of a trying season. But i guess that's Roy Keane, he isn't afraid to do what he deems right. There are people who take Roy Keane for granted, the attention goes to the 'glamour' players and positions. I was once like that when i was a fledgling United fan, but my view of the club has matured over time, and i really started to appreciate how indispensible Keane was to United. I can't believe i'm relating Keane to United using the past tense..
After reading Roy Keane's biography earlier this year, i was playing the best football of my entire life. But more importantly, Roy Keane is more than a footballing role model to me. Its like a part of me died (or went comatose) when i saw the headline 'Keane Leaves Man Utd'. But i'll consider myself very fortunate to have watched Keane don the United shirt for the past 12 years, at the peak of his powers. Furthermore, there is a possibility that someday, Keano will return to United, as Manager.
"KEANO THERS ONLY 1 KEANO THERS ONLY 1 KEANO KEANO!!
THERS ONLY 1 KEANO THERS ONLY 1 KEANO KEANO!!"
